Influenced by a culture that turns female aging into something to fear, she develops an anxious relationship with both the mirror and her own body. When she buys an anti-wrinkle cream in an attempt to stop time, she begins to realise that her struggle is futile. During a visit to her grandmother, she encounters an elderly woman who is happy, confident and at peace with herself. This meeting changes Nena’s perspective: aging stops being a monster and becomes a natural continuation of life.
